Search Results

The results of search by topic, free text search or advanced search will be collected in a list with additional information and functions under the map in the next page (see also Fig. 4.2, Page 16). The Layers and stations of interest will be shown with additional details and functions in the interactive map (Fig. 4.10).

Filebased Data

The results in this list comes from metadata catalogs managing file based data like coverages, documents, theses or manuals. On the one hand a spatial representation of the data is given as a point at the map. A Hover over the pin opens a popup menu with the title(s) of the record(s) as a link. Following the link navigate to a detail metadata page where all metadata elements are depicted. If a bounding box is included in the metadata of the record, then this one is shown when the user is pointing his mouse over the “Title” (here e.g. Basic Agricultural Statistics…) at the popup (at the map). On the other hand a short description is given in the result list. Each file based result record is shown with a Number (from 1 to 10), where as sensor based data (decripted in the next chapter) is shown with capital letters from A to J).

Sensor Search Results

If a search was performed that have been found sensor metadata, the stations will be collected in a list under “Sensor search Results” (Fig. 4.12, 3). You can access (multiple) services and add them to the map. Details:

  1. After a sensor search triggered the relevant stations will be added to the map (1).
  2. Explore each station by clicking its point icon (e.g. B), then click on the “open” button under each station name (2), one small window about this station will be opened (see 4.3.2.1 – 4.3.2.4). In this pop-up window you could study the station more in detail und use a certain of utile functions, for instance create diagram or download data etc.
  3. The sensor search results are itemized under the map (3), each station could be explored by clicking on its station name (4).

Diagram

  1. By clicking “Open” button during the last step (Fig. 4.12, 2) one new window with interesting functionality will be opened.
  2. You see one diagram icon button on the first position and one Query-tab at first. This means that you could perform a query with selected conditions. If the conditions are satisfied one diagram applied to these conditions could be generated.
  3. These selected conditions include “select an offering”, “select one or multiple phenomenon(s)” (use Ctrl-key to select if multiple) and “select valid begin and end date”.
  4. Please pay attention to “valid” which indicates the valid period for the selected phenomenon(s). All next steps could not be executed till one valid period is selected.
  5. After all valid conditions are set, click the diagram icon button . Under “Result” one diagram is corresponding generated.

Information

To inspect information of the station blend “Information” by clicking on it and scroll down.
