Terfa W. Abraham holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria in 2005 and 2010 respectively and a Ph.D in Economic Sciences from the Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) de Dakar, Senegal in 2016 funded under the German Federal Ministry of Education (BMBF) WASCAL Doctoral Research Programme in Climate Change Economics. A recipient of the CODESRIA Small grant for M.Sc thesis writing in 2009 and a recipient of the Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) 2015 Research Paper Prize, he was also awarded the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) first prize for best PhD thesis defended during the 2015/2016 Academic session by Nigerian Economic Society (NES) during the 2016 Annual Conference in Abuja, Nigeria. His research interests are in Financial and Development Economics. He presently serves as a Research Fellow/ Economist with the National Institute for Legislative & Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abuja – Nigeria.
