Crop production statistics at sub-national level are provided by national and international organisations at different levels of detail. The downloadable file is a combination of many sources with the aim to generate long time series for homogeneous crops. The crop classifications follow the WAGR nomenclature for crops provided by the same author. In general, the statistics were created as follows:
